Description:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Avionics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience in a Software or Systems Engineering position. In the alternative, at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Avionics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in a Software or Systems Engineering position would be acceptable.
  • At least 2 years of experience with A/C Secondary Power Distribution Systems
  • At least 2 years of experience with Federal Aviation Regulation DO-178B/C and ARP4754A
  • At least 2 years of experience with C Programming and Embedded Controls, Scripting languages such as Tool Command Language (TCL), and Python.
    The salary range for this position is $97,323 to $161,000 per year. This is the correct compensation range. Please disregard any additional verbiage noted below pertaining to the salary range.
    The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute objectives for requirements management, reliability, logistics, coordination of different teams, evaluation measurements, and other disciplines for large or complex projects.
  • Monitor the cost, effectiveness, and reliability of activities and recommend modifications to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and ensure that standards are met.
  • Manage work-processes, optimization methods, and risk management tools for large or complex projects.
  • Research and evaluate investments or changes in technology, resources, procedures, equipment, systems, or other assets to improve the quality of the organization’s systems products and services.
  • Provide analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and develop verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
