As an Senior Technology Engineer you are part of Employee Experience team. This team is focused on enhancing productivity with friction-free processes, quick answers to common questions, and simple task automations – creating the flexibility, space, and time for colleagues to work on what matters most – discovering and delivering solutions that address complex health issues.
Our organization is delivering AI-powered chatbot that will measurably improve employee productivity for our 50,000+ employees worldwide. In this role, you will prototype and build experience APIs to enhance service offerings. You’ll leverage your expertise in Low Code tools, REST APIs, data aggregation, and string formatting to extend AI chatbot’s functionality to new use cases by integrating with various internal systems to automate simple transactions and simplify complex processes. You will ensure these integration solutions with various systems and safe and scalable and follow change management and security policies, system configurations, and API management practices.
Job Description

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Agile Software Development/Lifecycle: As part of Agile team, collaborate with Product Owners, stakeholders, and the team to identify and prioritize technical requirements for AI chatbot and its integrations with various internal systems. Design and create prototypes to prove feasibility of new features. Develop code/configurations/automations following Agile practices and Dev Ops principles. Conduct testing to ensure the quality and functionality of the system. Create standard software lifecycle deliverables – design documents/diagrams, workflows, automations, configurations, code, unit tests, integration tests, and installation instructions.
  • Design Principles: Work with lead Architect to re-use existing platform capabilities and design patterns, build new design and patterns with re-usability in mind. Maintain alignment with architecture groups to ensure long-term vision of enterprise AI and chatbot architecture is realized. Recommend diagrams and workflows as part of software lifecycle and release management cadence.
  • Data and Analytics: Enable connectivity and data feeds from chatbot to enterprise data platforms. Connect and import various data from enterprise data platforms for AI analysis. Use appropriate tools to collect, correlate and analyze data to use as input into sprints to help improve product performance and increase user adoption. Record and maintain technical data for use in reporting and system documentation. Work with project teams to automate reporting of value calculations and adoption metrics.
  • Developer Community of Practice: Participate and contribute to creation of Enterprise Chatbot Developer Community of Practice. Help enable internal BTS technical teams to BYOA (bring-your-own API/Automation) use cases, to implement them using AI Chatbot extensibility product, and collaborate on solution readiness. Teach others how to use the tools, create technical manuals, video training, and respond to community questions. Foster collaboration and community across BTS groups.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze user feedback, user research, chatbot data, and input from cross-functional stakeholders to find insights and recommend product improvements. Apply business and technology knowledge to identify use cases to simplify complex work processes. Stay current with news and trends in Generative AI, NLU/NLP, and AI search, anticipating and adjusting use of technology based on industry changes.
  • Cross Functional Work: Collaborate with various IT organizations to define technical requirements and identify APIs/Automations that are best fit for use cases. Provide guidance, motivation, and direction to the interfacting technical teams, fostering a collaborative environment. Work across teams to meet technical standards of IT delivery and security policies.
