Contract Type: TfL Engineering – Permanent
- Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements

Skills:

Knowledge:
- Understanding of the principles of asset management and its application throughout the phases of the asset life cycle and understanding how assets are managed to achieve the desired performance.
- Knowledge of monitoring systems, condition monitoring technology and IT infrastructure used to analyse and improve business systems and processes.
Experience:
- Leveraging the application of data and technology to improve processes.
- Managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex portfolios of work and effectively communicating with people at all levels.
- Experience of building relationships with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders at all levels within and outside the organisation.

As a Senior Engineering Leader, you will lead a team of Asset Condition engineers, developing your team’s technical skills and championing innovation & emerging technologies to deliver greater benefits and efficiencies and to build resilience for the future.
You will act as the subject matter expert for the capture, management, analysis, visualisation, and utilisation of asset information. You will lead the update of technical standards, identify best practice, and provide guidance to teams across TfL. You will have a background in data and analytics with experience of analysing data to draw insights of value to the business.
You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities to deliver business efficiencies and/or modernise maintenance, develop engineering scopes of work and delivery plans to achieve the agreed outcome, evaluate the potential business benefit, support implementation and any corresponding business change.
You will have a comprehensive understanding of business requirements throughout the operate & maintain phase of the asset lifecycle and in the management of emerging engineering risks which impact safety, reliability, and availability. This will enable the delivery of engineering solutions/change that integrate with the business processes deployed by the operational business whilst also aligning with business objectives.
You will have a combination of the following attributes: engineering ability including systems integration, managing the co-ordination and output of multi-disciplinary engineering teams, facilitate continuous improvement, being the single point of contact for one or more projects/deliverables.
As the role will require extensive stakeholder engagement across internal and external organisations, you will demonstrate strong personal behaviours, necessary to deliver successful outcomes, in particular: collaboration, influence, communication & stakeholder management.
