ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Expert level technical knowledge and understanding of Control & Information, ideally covering both legacy and modern railway control systems, passenger information systems and maintenance.
• A sound understanding of the requirements for delivering Control & Information projects through the complete life cycle from concept to operational service including knowledge of applicable standards, industry best practice and the assurance process.
• Have in-depth knowledge of control system safety concepts, and the practical methods required to maintain system safety.
• Ability to communicate, motivate & influence effectively, both orally and in writing, with people at all levels across the organisation and outside, including negotiating and successfully facilitating joint decision-making.
• Ability to analyse complex data (quantitative and qualitative), draw conclusions and produce solutions and decisions.
• The ability to lead, motivate and inspire team members ensuring that the team delivers high quality outputs whilst developing the capabilities of both the team and all team members.
