Core Apps team is in charge of web applications and micro services for the main applications at Five9. Our 3 teams are located in US, Australia and Portugal. We are looking to significantly expand Portugal team.
Our 3 main applications Agent Desktop Plus, Supervisor Plus and Admin Console represent a significant part of Five9 customer base and often are the largest enterprise customers with high demands for reliability and number of concurrent agents. Come to our team to expand and update these applications and help Five9 conquer the enterprise contact center market.

KEY SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Ability to hire and onboard developers at rapid rate.
  • Proficiency in a variety of programming languages, including but not limited to Java, C/C++, JavaScript etc. 7+ years of professional experience developing software applications.
  • Expertise in public cloud, server-side technologies.
  • Awareness of security best practices and the ability to implement security measures to protect applications and data.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality code and solutions on time and within scope.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant discipline.Desirable:
  • Experience with Contact Centre, IVR, Virtual Agents.
  • Experience with any public cloud platform (AWS or GCP) is a huge plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of software development engineers responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and tooling our cloud services.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of features and functionality aligning with the projects goals. Ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and quality assurance professionals, to ensure that everyone is aligned on project goals and progress.
  • Drive the adoption of modern technologies, tools and practices to streamline development workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality and reliability of our software.
  • Understand various programming languages, frameworks, and development methodologies, which allow you to make informed decisions and solve complex technical challenges.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. When problems arise, you use your experience and problem-solving skills to identify the root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Manage relationships with cloud service providers, tool vendors, and other external partners.
  • Drive a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning within the team and across the organization.
