POSITION SUMMARY

As Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for managing a high performance Personalization and Search capability team within our Enterprise Solution portfolio. You will lead an engineering team in an agile environment building solutions and working closely with Product. The key to the success of this position is having a strong and innovative approach to problem solving, great technical leadership, excellent communication (written and verbal), flexibility, and a self-motivated working style with attention to detail on top of a customer-first mindset. This Senior Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping our search & personalization efforts across the board, including online web, mobile apps and marketing channels.

Your Responsibilities

  • Leading a team to design, build, test, deploy Search and Personalization applications
  • Implementation of recommendation algorithms, A/B testing strategy and data-driven initiatives
  • Actively participating in the design and architecture discussion for new services across teams
  • Instrumenting, telemetry metrics and tracing
  • Participating in code reviews within your team and frequently with other teams
  • Mentoring team members and contribute to building a strong engineering culture
  • Working with other departments on collaborative projects

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of overall Digital development experience on enterprise class applications. Search or Personalization experience.
  • 2+ years in a management role, leading software development teams
  • Experience building highly scalable APIs
  • Experience with programming languages/frameworks: Java, SpringBoot, Node.js, Kotlin
  • Experience in leading medium to large sized teams of diverse development engineers across multiple locations
  • Experience in partnering with architecture, product and program management teams to influence product development assisting or improving products

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of building API aggregator, GraphQL
  • Knowledge of Solr or Elastic search
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform. Hands on experience with cloud technologies/platforms
  • Good understanding and working experience in IT Security best practices.
  • Experience in handling multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; thrives working in a highly iterative, agile, and open team environment
  • A strong business and technical vision and the ability to translate these in business and technical approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions
  • Knowledge/experience in the Healthcare space

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
