Role Overview: As a Service Technician at Xylem, you’ll play a vital role in installing, servicing, and refurbishing submersible and surface-mounted pumping equipment, sewage treatment plants, and associated components.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting analytical surveys of control equipment, both electrical and physical.
- Isolating, dismantling, and inspecting pumping equipment, including moving parts and lubricants.
- Examining and reporting any defects with valves and pipework.
- Reporting abnormalities and providing detailed descriptions of components requiring replacement.
- Installing and commissioning equipment and associated apparatus.
- Collaborating as part of a team to ensure health and safety standards are upheld.
- Performing both planned and reactive service visits in a timely manner.
- Lifting equipment and components up to approximately 10m using provided tools.
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Driving company vehicles to and from scheduled and reactive calls.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Electrically qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ 2330 Level 3 or equivalent, including 17th Edition (or Mechanical equivalent, depending on role)
- Excellent knowledge of pumps/pumping systems, 3-phase industrial electrics, and fault-finding/testing electrical components to 17th Edition.
- Full driving license
- Proficiency in using PDA systems and customer management logging-in systems.
