Description:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-5 years of Environment Consultant experience or relevant field experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Reclamation, or similar discipline.
- Good physical health with willingness to travel and work in the field for extended periods.
- Access to 4X4 vehicle with a valid class 5 license.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Professional designation or articling to obtain an asset.
- Knowledge of the water act and experience with wetland classification is an asset.
- Understanding of the upstream oil and gas regulatory requirements in AB & BC.
- Experience with reclamation and remediation on private and public lands.
- Strong soil characterization and vegetation identification skills.
- AIA and or SIA Member (preferred but not necessary).

Responsibilities:
- Execute scopes of work and cost estimates under the supervision of the Project Manager.
- Ensure project requirements are met in a timely and effective manner.
- Lead and supervise small and large-scale reclamation and remediation projects.
- Assist with execution of Phase 2 and Phase 3 site assessments.
- Complete detailed site assessments and groundwater monitoring.
- Coordinate and supervise tree planting.
- Manage and meet all client and regulatory ground disturbance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, directives, and SOP’s.
- Implement internal and client safety programs.
- Remain updated with environmental legislation and regulatory updates, provide current information as it becomes available to staff.
