Salary: $104,949 to $120,692 per annum + 11.5% superannuation

We are seeking suitably qualified and motivated candidates for the position of Senior Environmental Health Officer in our Health, Building and Regulatory Services department. The primary purpose of this position is to provide quality customer focused and professional environmental health, public health, and protection of environment services.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake inspections of premises and implement Council’s inspection programs for registered food premises and vendors, and other health-related premises or activities
  • Investigate, assess and determine environmental health, public health customer requests
  • Assess and determine development applications and other local government applications
  • Effectively implement regulatory environmental and public health programs and services.
  • Issue notices, orders, directions and penalty infringements and undertake enforcement responsibilities
  • Preparation of reports, information and documentation
  • Represent Council on various internal and external committees, working groups and organisations
