Education, qualifications & skills:

• Master’s degree or PhD degree in a relevant field (biological or biochemistry).
• Patent Attorney Qualification.
• 5+ years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in drafting and prosecuting complex pharmaceutical / biotechnology and life sciences patent applications.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commercially savvy, with a clear client-focus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

• Using your expertise and deep sector knowledge you will support clients from all around the world in successful filing and patent prosecution, oppositions, and litigation.
• Delivering on Potter Clarkson´s expanding range of IP consultancy products you will provide strategic, commercially focused advice.
• Handle contentious and non-contentious legal matters in close collaboration with our team of IP solicitors.
• Support our biotech clients in mitigating risk and navigating opportunities as their business develops.
• Engage in continuous personal development and in-house training to become an outstanding patent professional, delivering exceptional service.
