Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will join the Industrial Relations Department in SIA Human Resources Division. You will be part of a high performing team handling labour management relations with SIA’s three in-house unions; the Airline Executive Staff Union (AESU), the Air Line Pilots Association – Singapore (ALPA-S) and the Singapore Airlines Staff Union (SIASU). You will also be the custodian of the Company’s internal disciplinary process and Code of Conduct in the handling of employee misconduct cases.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess a University Bachelor’s degree, and familiar with local labour legislation such as Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act and Trade Unions Act
  • Experience in employee relations and investigations, grievance handling or union relations will be preferred
  • Critical thinking skills, able to view issues from broad perspectives and strong in data analysis
  • Strong inter-personal skills and the confidence to work with management, departmental heads and union leaders
  • Emotional maturity and personal integrity
  • Resourceful, independent and be able to propose practical solutions
  • Experience with Success Factors HR would be an advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Close engagement with in-house Unions to ensure strong labour management relations in areas of collective bargaining and change management
  • Close monitoring of evolving employment landscape to ensure compliance with employment legislations and regulations in relation to workplace discrimination, fair employment practices and grievance handling
  • Custodian of the Company internal disciplinary process and Code of Conduct
  • Employee relations and grievance handling
  • Adopt data-driven approach to provide viable solutions that meet the employee and organisational needs in collective bargaining and analysing complex employee issues
