KEY REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:
ABOUT DEPARTMENT AND PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To assist and support the ADON, Nurse Managers, Clinicians and Ops & Admin Manager/ Director of Specialised Support Services in the operational and administrative management of assigned clinical and patient service areas in the hospital.
The scope of management includes Operating Theatres (OT) in Main Building, Kent Ridge Wing and/or Medical Centre, OT Call Centre, Endoscopy Centre, Dept of Anaesthesia and/or other assigned areas within the hospital.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize and support internal and external meetings for the department
- Work with Nurse Managers and Clinicians to ensure smooth operations in assigned area.
- Review departmental processes to improve overall key performance indicators/ outcomes in the areas of total patient experience, operational efficiency and optimal resources utilization (where applicable).
- Assist with annual budget cycle by recommending required CAPEX and OPEX budget needs and preparing approval papers. Track and monitor approved budget to ensure optimal utilization.
- Participation in the following procurement processes
- Pre-RFP activities to collate data consumption and requirements,
- Product evaluation and vendor selection based on established procurement policies,
- Negotiation meetings to achieve best outcome for the Hospital.
- Review, establish and manage term contracts on time to ensure consistent & continuous supply of products.
- Plan, analyze, monitor & forecast non-stock/consigned stock level
- Perform any other duties / ad-hoc projects as assigned by Reporting Officer
