REQUIREMENTS
- Preferably at least 5-7 years of experience in a corporate communications / media relations role. CVs with experience in FMCG will be prioritised
- Strong communication skills including storytelling and writing skills
- Keen understanding of media and social media workings and competitive landscape
- Ability to identify and cultivate media and KOL relationships
- Ability to keep up with the news and relevant industry trends and developments

Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
- Integrate and amplify FPG’s key corporate and business messages and narratives across all relevant communication channels (i.e. media, social and internal)
- Enhance FPG’s corporate reputation and profile its initiatives across the businesses, its digital transformation efforts and key themes that FPG wants to win in, across earned, owned and paid media with a primary focus on earned media
- Ensure that FairPrice Group maintains and grows its share of voice in key business dailies, broadcast, trade publications and all media that matter. The role will mainly focus on media relations and will entail intense proactive campaigning of strategic corporate themes that are important in driving the strategic agenda of FPG
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and cultivate win-win relationships with media that matter so that they will be positively predisposed to the FPG brand
- Identify new ways of profiling FPG e.g. through data storytelling, trend and feature stories. This can be done via engagement with industry experts, editors of retail trade publications, business professors, mainstream and independent media
- Work with relevant teams within the Group Strategic Communications team to engage with digital communities such as through social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) or KOLs when needed
- Provide strategic communications counsel to senior management
- From time-to-time, work with internal stakeholders on crisis and issues management
- Work with Strategic and Integrated Communications lead to develop reporting tools, analyse different audiences’ perceptions and opinions to the communications, and measure the effectiveness of the campaigns
