[What the role is]
Muis is initiating the development of a higher educational institution as part of the larger plans to strengthen the education and training opportunities for Singapore’s Islamic scholars and teachers. The institution is envisioned to offer tertiary level programmes. We seek a dynamic individual to shape and implement strategies related to teaching methodologies, learning experiences, and assessment policies and practices for the college. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of pedagogical frameworks, assessment policies, and staff development programmes, along with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
[What you will be working on]

ACADEMIC AFFAIRS AND LEARNER SUPPORT:

• Coordinate the processes required for the approval of new programmes for the college.
• Coordinate the development and delivery of bridging programmes and entrance level courses to ensure that students are adequately prepared for their academic journey.
• Conceptualise the development of enrichment programmes including CCAs and additional non-examinable learning sessions (e.g. book-reading sessions or halaqahs ) that contribute to achieving the undergraduate programme goals.
• Monitor students’ progress and provide support to address any learning gaps or challenges.
• Collaborate with the officer in-charge of learning support to the holistic support mechanisms and access to relevant resources for tutoring, counseling, and academic advising.

[ What we are looking for ]

• Tertiary education in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field
• Demonstrated understanding of assessment principles, pedagogical frameworks, and educational policies.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in staff development and training programmes preferred.
• Familiarity with language education policies and practices is an advantage.
• Effective communication skills in English is critical and a functioning knowledge of Arabic language will be advantageous for stakeholder engagement matters.

Successful candidate will be appointed on contract basis.
