It also offers other services for seniors such as an active ageing hub, senior activity centres, community support for vulnerable seniors, and a sheltered / senior group home. In addition, it runs a chain of dental clinics, and a family medicine clinic.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The incumbent shall assist the Operations Manager to manage daily operations and plan manpower to drive operational excellence in the Nursing Home. This include ensuring that the Nursing Home is in compliance with all regulatory, licensing, safety and environmental requirements.

In addition, lead, train, supervise, mentor and guide staff in areas such as Facilities, Laundry, Housekeeping, Fire Command Centre and Transportation sections of the Operations department.

  • Identify and perform necessary maintenance on buildings and facilities
  • Conduct inspections periodically to evaluate the maintenance condition to identify necessary corrective actions
  • Report any deficiencies as they occur and request for emergency or routine service
  • Oversee and manage the appointed contractors to ensure that they conform to the required standards
  • Manage the process of contracts and activate the renewal when due
  • Supervise the proper inventory management of medical and non-medical supplies and ensure that adequate stocks are available to meet operational needs
  • Responsible for administrative duties, including developing and maintaining operating procedures, verifying invoices, monitoring expenses and assisting in budget exercise
  • Participate as member of the Home’s Fire Safety Committee member
  • Participate and support work process improvement and technology enhancement projects
  • Manage and supervise team of operations assistants inclusive of recruitment, discipline and performance appraisal
  • Ensure that the facilities team are in compliance to workplace safety standards
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Min Diploma/Degree in Business/Building/Facilities Management/Engineering or equivalent with 3 years relevant experience, of which 1 year in supervisory role
  • Good in report writing.
  • Possess experience in project management and budgeting.
  • Independent with high level of organizational skill.
  • Able to work well under pressure and deliver within tight timeline.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills.
  • Proficient in MS office.
