Description:

QUALIFICATIONS & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Recognised Degree or Diploma
  • Specialist Diploma in WSH (minimum Level C) or MOM-Registered WSH Officer is preferred
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in WSH related positions or transport safety related position

TECHNICAL SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Good knowledge of the Singapore EHS and Fire Safety regulations
  • Knowledge of MS excel and power point to make good presentations with graphs

GENERIC SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Team player with good communication and analytical skills
  • Self-driven, results oriented and possess initiative to identify and solve WSH issues
  • Able to perform night and weekend work (occasionally)

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

The Executive / Senior Executive, Roads Safety & Security (SSC) will be responsible for to support the Head SSC in all safety and security matters in SMRT Roads. This includes planning and operations in the areas of safety checks and inspections , compiling data for safety and implementing new safety initiatives in SMRT Roads. He will also be responsible in to support the various business units to meet the EHS and Fire Safety regulatory requirements. This position will require the staff to work closely with the all departments across all business units.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Executive / Senior Executive, Roads Safety & Security, duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

  • Regular checks on business units on WSH and ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform and review risk assessments where required to ensure risk associated with any work activities are mitigated as reasonably practicable.
  • Execute risk based inspection program including on workplaces activities with involvement of safety associates from various department.
  • Provide support in the conduct of business units internal safety management system audits and facilitate recertification audits.
  • Monitor and track the closure status of safety inspection and audit findings / observations.
  • Response to reportable and non-reportable accidents/incidents and carry out the necessary accident investigations and prepare the accident reports accordingly.
  • Execute plan to promote Workplace Safety & Health awareness, Traffic Safety and Open Reporting across the business units
  • To attend any Incident Management of the business unit when activation as required
  • Secretariat for BU Safety Meeting and Premises Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Committee
  • Collate safety performance data across Roads Division for monthly/quarterly management reporting.
  • Organise Roads Safety Programmes and Events
