Your role as a Cost Accounting and Process Design Expert within the newly established Controlling Processes & Operations team at RWE AG offers a unique opportunity drive impactful change. You will continuously improve RWE’s group-wide and OpCo specific cost accounting concepts and processes from an E2E perspective. We are looking for a committed and inspirational senior expert:

• You analyze all needs of the different Controlling operating companies and the RWE Group to derive guidelines for cost accounting concepts (e.g. steering views, use of suitable allocation forms, etc.)
• You explore new features as part of new SAP releases or projects
• You develop fundamental cost accounting concepts (segment or group wide)
• You develop custom concepts for tools and processes to improve steering under consideration of an E2E cost accounting view
• You coordinate the rollout of new processes or technical changes and closely collaborate and align with IT
• You closely align E2E concepts with Controlling and other relevant departments and establish a group wide network with involved E2E stakeholders
• You ensure process and data quality by monitoring newly implemented or adjusted processes
• You derive measures to improve and stabilize processes related to cost accounting
• You advise for cost accounting solutions and perform custom trainings
• You translate complex technical contexts in comprehensible and illustrative business processes (et vice versa)

YOUR POWERFUL SKILLS

• University degree in business administration or related studies (e.g. business information systems)
• Extensive professional experience, at least 5 years in the area of Controlling / Finance and preferably with focus on processes and systems
• Project management experience, preferably in SAP migration projects
• Excellent understanding of cost accounting approaches and how to use them to design RWE’s operational processes for steering purposes
• Profound experience with SAP FICO modules (especially SAP-CO and SAP-PS) and a good understanding of SAP BW or similar business intelligence solutions
• Business and technical affinity at the same time to bridge between Controlling and IT teams
• Strong communication skills, combined with the ability to analyze complex matters precisely and present them in an easy way
• Open minded, a good sense of humor and eagerness to learn and share your knowledge with your colleagues and your team
• Fluent in English and German
