YOUR FUNCTION
EGI wishes to reinforce its team working on Regulation and Markets to support international clients navigate the complex environment they operate in. To achieve this, we are looking for an experienced professional to be one of our strategic advisors on regulation, contract management, and market design.
As a senior expert on energy regulation and market design, you will provide top-rank consultancy in constant interaction with our worldwide energy clients, partners, and relevant departments within the Elia Group organisation. You will support our clients in defining and implementing energy policies and regulatory framework reforms linked to the latest trends in the energy domains and decarbonisation. You will guide the national and regional authorities in set-up trading environments and propose market structures and designs in Europe and worldwide. You will provide valuable support to energy investors and developers in their business analysis related to interconnection projects and agreements, new energetics, and sector coupling.
Typical activities involve (but are not limited to):
- Advising clients on strategic issues related to existing and future legal, policy and regulatory frameworks, market design and contractual management;
- Supporting investors and developers in navigating the complex regulatory and market environments in which they operate;
- Performing market intelligence analysis for new energetics;
- Contributing to projects on establishing trading platforms and market operators, and implementing competitive national or regional trading of power, capacities, and ancillary services
- Anticipating the changes in the power market landscape and defining the most suitable markets configurations or smart grid strategies by leading successful projects that provide value to customers and benefits to society
- Support the company’s business development team in identifying and pursuing opportunities by establishing trusted relationships with clients and development of proposals;
- Design and implementation of projects, including complicated business-related contractual negotiations. You lead projects’ delivery related to energy policies, regulatory framework reforms, technical regulations, and market design/operations from regulatory, markets, or business points of view.
