Description:

The Facilities Division is looking for a committed and innovative individual to fill the position of Senior Facilities Manager leading on a range of Facilities Management soft services including but not limited to Domestic Services, Decontamination, Patient and Non- Patient Transport Services within the Brunel Building and the Retained Estate
They will ensure the highest quality safe and effective environment to care for our patient. The Senior Facilities Manager is the Trusts professional lead on Services within their portfolio ensuring that its provision is aligned to and supports the Trusts clinical strategy.
Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of duties, including managing facilities and operational contracts, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. You’ll act as a key liaison between stakeholders and contractors, driving outstanding performance and maintaining effective communication channels. Additionally, you’ll lead efforts to improve customer service and implement cost-effective solutions while staying abreast of relevant legislation and industry best practices.
The postholder will be responsible for over 400 members of staff and budgetary responsibilities of £13 million.
A background of working within the hospital environment and to be able to demonstrate a history of process management and decision-making ability is desirable.

  • Provide guidance to front line managers on responses to queries or complaints from patients and service users;
  • Lead for Domestic Services, Decontamination Services, Patient and Non- Patient Transport Services, guided by legislation including H&S regulations and Trust policies and procedures;
  • Lead on policy development to reflect any changes in legislation or changes in service requirement or delivery within Domestics, Decontamination and Transport Services;
  • Lead on and ensure delivery of the current legislation regarding COSHH, Fire, Manual Handling etc. is adhered to at all times, in accordance with Trust/Departmental Policy;
  • Responsible for external /internal market research into commercial opportunities and benchmarking of current service provision to allow informed decision making on future changes;
  • Act as the Trust lead on all matters relating to patient and non patient transport and be responsible for compliance of all Trust vehicles;
  • Formulate and develop Trust long term strategy on internal and external Patient Transport.
  • Act as the Trust’s lead on all matters relating to cleaning standards and to be responsible for contributing towards the Trust’s cleaning policy and cleaning manual;
