Description:
Our Kitchener based client who is well respected in the community is adding an experienced Senior Family Law Clerk to a vibrant team of lawyers and paralegal professionals. This team has several years in Family law and work very well together.
This is an on-site position 8:30-4:30pm
Duties:
- Managing active client files starting with new client screening
- Triaging and responding appropriately to incoming correspondence
- Requesting and managing third party records and staying on top of all communication and noting deadlines
- Preparing legal documents, scanning, binding, and digitally storing documents for easy retrieval
- Scheduling client meetings and assessments
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Law Clerk training program
- Good working experience with Family Law Rules and court procedures
- Divorcemate and PC Law experience highly preferred
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills with minimum 4 years similar experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
