Description:

MIT SG Pte Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Fermentation Specialist, in the field of food and agriculture. As a leading company in the agricultural industry, we are dedicated to developing innovative solutions that promote sustainable and efficient farming practices.
Location: Singapore & Project site in Malaysia, China
Employment Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize fermentation processes for the production of bio-functional ingredient product for food and agriculture application.
  • Conduct research and experiments to improve fermentation performance, yield, and quality of the finish products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale up fermentation processes from lab to pilot plant and commercial production.
  • Provide technical expertise on fermentation and bio-application processes to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the food and agricultural market by analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive growth and expand our product portfolio.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, industry partners, and research institutions to foster collaborations and drive business development initiatives.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in fermentation technologies, bio-application techniques, and agricultural practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, reports, and proposals to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Biochemical Engineering. A Ph.D. is a plus.
  • Proven experience in Enzyme technologis, fermentation process development and optimization, preferably in the food and agricultural or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong knowledge of microbial fermentation, including strain selection, media optimization, and downstream processing, finish product application.
  • Familiarity with bio-application techniques and their implementation in the food and agricultural sector.
  • Demonstrated business development experience, including market analysis, opportunity identification, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot fermentation-related issues and propose innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, manages multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
