Responsibilities:

The Senior Field Service Engineer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide support and mentoring for more junior and new members of the team
  • Fault finding and repair of AV/UC Systems at client’s premises
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance of AV/UC equipment at our client’s premises
  • Required to upload and download control programs, software and firmware updates
  • Provide readily available telephone support to answer technical questions and assist internal and external customers with fault finding
  • Liaise with other internal departments, clients and contractors both in-house and on client’s sites
  • Ensure that all job files are accurately maintained in paper and electronic form
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams and architectural blueprints
  • Provide On/Call engineer support for clients either remotely or onsite
  • Perform client training when require

  • Have demonstrable technical knowledge of Electronics, Audio Visual/Video Conferencing and Unified Communications Systems with a technical background in a relevant industry
  • Have a good knowledge of Control systems, AV Over IP, DSP Mixers and audio processing techniques
  • Experience of video wall technologies including LED display solutions
  • Operational & configuration experience of Unified Communication systems including MS Teams rooms, Zoom rooms and VoIP
  • Experience in providing exceptional customer service and support in a fast-paced AV/VC/UC environment
  • Strong customer-focus and understanding of the sensitivities of working on a client’s site
  • Be organised and flexible with the ability to approach different types of tasks during the working day
  • Being able to prioritise and work under pressure is essential
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and being able to communicate with all levels from company executives to contractor
