The Senior Finance Analyst - Capital Planning will lead and oversee the financial aspects of our project delivery processes, focusing on capital planning, execution, financial management, reporting and analysis. You will establish a rhythm that aligns with the financial goals of the Consumer organisation, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in project execution. In addition to financial oversight, you will instill a robust project management discipline by implementing governance controls, and financial management practices. You will collaborate closely with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking, resource allocation, and adherence to budgetary constraints.

SKILLS:

  • High performing individual with first class financial modelling and analytical skills
  • High level of detail orientation and sound commercial acumen
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal engagement skills and service orientation, be naturally “hands on” with an ability to work efficiently and effectively as part of a small team.
  • Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective decisions.
  • Can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately then create competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, or Statistics
  • Postgraduate qualification such as CA or CPA
  • Demonstrated commercial experience (5+ years)

Responsibilities:

  • Drive discipline around capital planning and capital management, including budgeting, project forecasting and portfolio prioritisation / re-prioritisation.
  • Identify opportunities for new tools to be leveraged in order to facilitate improvements.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of key metrics related to projects within the capital planning envelope to provide insights on the health and performance of the pipeline.
  • Define and ensure compliance with governance processes and templates relevant to financial planning and capital expenditure management.
  • Support the design and delivery of capital reporting.
