Description:

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a full-time Senior Finance Assistant within the University’s Income and Credit Control team based in the Finance Division.
The Senior Finance Assistant will work closely with and support the team’s Supervisor and Senior Administrator, providing active collection of tuition fees, accommodation fees and other debts due to the University along with allocation of income in an accurate and timely manner. This role will have line management responsibilities.
You will have extensive experience in credit control processes which is essential for the role. You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills, building trusted relationships and working closely with members of the Income & Credit Control team and with other colleagues within the University.
The role holder is expected to deal with students, staff and many other University customers, both professionally and confidentially in line with service standards. You will need to have excellent customer service skills, experience of team working in a customer-focused role and be able to work to a high degree of accuracy.
Applicants must meet all the essential criteria on the Person Specification to be considered for interview. In addition, studying towards an AAT qualification, or equivalent, would be advantageous but is not essential.
We offer a comprehensive set of benefits in addition to competitive salaries: final salary pension schemes, work-life balance, training & promotion opportunities, and staff recognition schemes. The team works flexibly and is using a hybrid approach; working on campus 2 days per week as a minimum and at home for the remainder. We expect the successful candidate to be on campus more during the initial training period.
Lancaster University promotes equality of opportunity and diversity within the workplace and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
