    An exciting opportunity as a Senior Finance Business Partner to play an influential role as part of the management team in a leading education institute.
    This role will be responsible for the reporting on monthly business financial performance data against identified key financial performance indicators and benchmarks. You will provide proactive strategic and operational financial information and commercial analysis and insights to Management to determine the financial operational decisions within the business with an emphasis on the teaching portfolios in which business improvement interventions and strategic realignment are required.

Key responsibilities (but not limited to) :

  • Leadership of Finance partnering of all teaching portfolios, reporting on monthly business performance data (financial and non-financial) against identified key performance indicators and benchmarks. This will involve partnering Executives in making strategic decisions based on financial and operational insights.
  • Mentor Executive team, Portfolio Directors and other staff through financial issues and provide guidance where required.
  • Provide independent evaluation of current operations and develop business cases for providing appropriate assessment and advice on identified issues, potential improvements initiatives and projects. Conduct analysis through scenario modelling and risk analysis and recommend appropriate strategies and/or related interventions to ensure cost effective and efficient operations and appropriate risk management.
  • Lead benchmarking studies of operations, revenue and costs related activities to set reasonable and achievable targets and improve business financial performance.
  • Partner with the Executive in the identification of evolving business needs and data analysis and reporting requirements to drive the continuing enhancement of commercial business management capabilities.
  • Support revenue management for the institute ($160M) on a monthly basis, ensuring its accuracy. This analysis will highlight the risks and opportunities of current financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to Executives to ensure targets achieved.
  • Lead the ongoing development of annual planning and quarterly forecasting for teaching portfolios. This will involve working collaboratively with the Executive, incorporating input from across the organisation and, where appropriate, external stakeholders.
