YOUR MISSION

As a Senior Finance Manager, you will play a central role in managing and optimizing our company’s financial operations in compliance with German finance laws. You will work closely with our Internal and External Accountant and our COO and jointly make it a success. We are looking for a leader who can take matters into their own hands.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrated experience of min. 7 years in a similar role in Finance, preferably in a fast-paced, high growth environment with 30+ Mio EUR revenue. Ideally on platforms with both B2B and high volume of B2C customers.
  • Proven experience in setting up processes to ensure timely and correct financial management, e.g. accounts receivables and payables, and implementing supporting software and tools.
  • Expertise in Excel, financial software and ERP systems, ideally also CRM crossing the gap between Customers and Accounting. Experience with BI tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and data consolidation skills; eagle eye for spotting mistakes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to identify and convince key stakeholders of your projects.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Experience working for a company in Germany. Profound knowledge of German finance law and regulations, particularly HGB.
  • Very good German skills; excellent English knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of our critical financial processes and provide timely solutions to pressing issues.
  • Suggest and define the strategies and objectives of our finance & accounting team based on our business goals for our long-term financial success
  • Identify optimization potentials to ensure correct, timely and compliant financial reporting
  • Lead the implementation of required projects, processes and supporting tools, align and coordinate involved teams and manage the change.
  • Collaborate and communicate closely with the COO, our internal Accounting and external Accountants on a daily basis, as well as Customers, Customer Success Managers and our Data Analysts
  • Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support long-term financial planning and ensure liquidity. Create, monitor and report on different budget variances, providing timely recommendations to the management for corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Prepare financial statements on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, in accordance with German accounting standards (HGB).
