Description:

Position Title: Senior Finance Manager
Reports to: CFO
Department: Finance
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Permanent - Full-time.
Probation Period: 6 months
Location: Dublin - City Centre (on-site)
Salary: To be discussed at interview stages
Performance-Based Pay: Applicable - agreed annually.
Ordinary hours of work: 37.5 hours per week.
Occasional overtime may be required to perform the duties of the role
Travel: Occasional Inter-city travel to and from Iconic Office locations may be required as part of the role

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Create and update rolling forecasts and annual budget documents.
  • Manage and improve revenue forecasting model.
  • Communicate actual versus budget results to department heads and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with other departments and assist them in achieving their objectives through financial insights.
  • Review monthly end processes and monthly management accounts.
  • Lead the relationship with the auditor during audit fieldwork.
  • Support decision-making by conducting financial analysis and presenting findings to senior management
  • Ensure procedures are appropriate and adhered to (payroll, tax, billing, accounting).
  • Implement, manage, and enhance the ERP system.
  • Take a lead role in driving efficiency and reporting by improving internal processes and procedures.
  • Manage the relationship with the ERP partner.
  • Oversee cash flow management and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
  • Conduct financial analysis and present findings to senior management for decision-making.
  • Monitor and control company expenditures to ensure budget adherence.
  • Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance with regulations.
  • Provide financial support for strategic initiatives and projects, including mergers and acquisitions, expansions, and new product launches.
  • Support the CFO with ad hoc tasks and take a lead role in new process innovations.

TEAM MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Mentor and develop the finance team, ensuring professional growth and succession planning.
  • Be a hands-on and supportive manager to a team of three.

    Other duties as necessary to support commercial efficiency. Prepare monthly progress reports, and other reports as and when directed.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in industry.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and intermediate proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience working within a business with a recurring revenue and deferred income model.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and intermediate proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience working with enterprise-level ERP & CRM systems.
  • Experience in the real estate or flexible workspace industry is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience managing a team preferred.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

This role reports to the CFO and has 3 direct reports. The role includes managing all accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The role also involves providing strategic financial support to the CFO and senior management.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of a full finance function, including management accounts, budgets, forecasts, year-end accounts, compliance and audit. They will also be collaborative and solution-focused with strong communication and time management skills, as well as a being a hands-on leader supporting a team of 3.
