    Our client is a rapidly growing ESG Fund Manager, with a focus on Green, sustainable investment within the Real Assets sector.
    The FUM will continue to increase this over the next couple of years and committed investment from Impact Investors, Governments Investment, Superannuation Funds and other ethically minded Financial Institutions.
    The Senior Finance Manager role lead the Group and Corporate Accounting and Finance function consisting of management reporting, financial reporting and financial operations/shared services. The role will include building and developing a robust finance function, including new finance systems adoption and enhancements to support their continued business growth.
    This role offers a unique opportunity in Property/Funds Management to join a business where colleagues are passionate about the purpose on their work.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED INCLUDE:

  • A Qualified Accountant (CA/CPA or equivalent), with demonstrable PQE gained in a Financial Management or Financial Controller role.
  • Property, Fund Management and/or Financial Services experience highly beneficial.
  • You must possess strong experience developing a robust financial control environment whilst also demonstrating commercial awareness and an ability to understand investment metrics & key drivers which impact revenue and cost base of a Real Assets business.
  • Proven experience within the property and/or financial services sector is essential.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to interpret and present financial analysis to a variety of stakeholder’s is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and oversee the production of financial and management accounts and other compliance-related reporting for all company divisions/sectors, including quality control of the output of direct reports and outsourced service providers.
  • Assist in preparation of the CFO report to the Executive team and Board.
  • Ensure timeliness and quality delivery of quarterly shareholder reporting and analysis.
  • Oversee and manage the change process of external auditors and global tax advisors
  • Support the broader business operations and asset management teams by providing relevant, accurate and timely sector specific financial information and expertise both on a regular and ad-hoc basis as required.
  • Improve cash flow forecast processes and minimise cash flow issues within the Australian and overseas businesses.
  • Quarterly review of global tax provisions working with the tax advisors.
  • Review monthly management accounts, P&L and balance sheet, for each entity to set deadlines.
  • On a monthly basis, monitor expenditure against budgets providing variance reports and suggesting corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Ensure statutory reporting and filing requirements are complied with (working with external advisors) including the management of statutory audits.
  • Review monthly cash flow forecast to support funding requests to the Group with variance commentary
  • Ensure any variations to budgets and forecasts are explained in management reports, including any future / potential exposures to the organisation.
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Support Board and Exec team by providing relevant, accurate and timely sector specific financial information and expertise both on a regular and ad-hoc basis as required.
  • Manage and mentor direct reports within the Corporate Accounting & Fund Accounting & Reporting teams, promoting development and skill progression within the finance team.
  • Proactively identify and champion the implementation of process improvements within the finance team and across the broader business.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the successful company Culture.
