about the job

• Oversee and manage the Finance department.
• Develop, execute, and maintain Finance SOPs and processes at the project and entity level in conjunction with Group Finance.
• Work in partnership with the business on Finance operations concerning the launch of the development project.
• Act as a business partner and provide accounting, finance, and tax inputs on commercial contracts and ad hoc matters, including financial incentives.
• Work with the business, Group Financial Controller, and Group Finance to develop budgets and cashflows for the Group’s entities.
• Maintain accounting records and books, including the fixed asset register, accounts payables and receivables, and project capital expenditure.
• Account for and process monthly revenue collection, vendor billings, and staff claims.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing and management accounts reporting for the companies of the Group.
• Manage year-end closing of accounting records and timely submission of financial statements of the entities for Group and statutory reporting purposes, including tax and banking compliance.
• Liaise with external parties, including auditors, tax agents, tax authorities, and other professional parties.
• Ensure adherence to the Group’s accounting policies, financial controls, governance and risk management framework, and operating policies.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be supported by a team of 2. The team works well and enjoys good team spirit.

skills & experience required

• Degree in Accounting/Finance. ACCA/ICAEW/CPA is an added advantage.
• Local Malaysian with 5 years of managerial experience in the property development/REIT industry.
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
