Description:

We have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager, Retail Town Centres & Community Real Estate Development to join our team based in Stockland’s Sydney head office.

Responsibilities:

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Lead proactive engagement with the Commercial Property Development team on the identification of opportunities, management of risks, drivers of business performance, opportunities, trends, and their implications for the business
  • Responsibility for timely, relevant and accurate financial: planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting (including risk and opportunities, key drivers of performance) of the strategic development pipeline to enable strategic value creation, leveraging CoE across the finance team.
  • Manage and review feasibilities of development opportunities and leasing activities to drive value and optimise returns
  • Review and provide inputs in Finance related components of project PCG papers and Investment Review Group (IRG) papers at key project milestones
  • Lead the review of project assumptions and preparation for Business Planning (Medium to Long Term) Forecast; Risks & Opportunities, and generate key insights
  • Accountable for assisting with financials for capital partnering requests and growth initiatives
  • Identify, lead and implement improvement initiatives across the CP Development Finance to improve the efficiency, accuracy, insight, transparency, and timeliness of reporting, budgeting, forecasting, R&O, and project performance
  • Provide guidance and enable the Finance Manager/Analysts to challenge the current Development Finance processes and assumptions to drive greater control, accuracy and simplification where required
  • Partner with key internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain strong working relationships including Development Management, Fund Management and external capital partners
  • Utilise business knowledge and experience to challenge Retail Town Centres portfolio results and projected data analysis, presenting these to Finance leadership and advising on implications to drive strategic decision making
  • Coach and develop others, actively facilitate and support learning and development to enhance team capabilities

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Experience in developing business plan and influencing broader strategy.
  • Strong financial modelling ability
  • Experience in managing a small team.
  • Experience in senior finance leadership providing business partnering is.
  • Experience in creating productive networks within and outside the organisation
  • CA / CPA or equivalent accreditation
  • Previous experience within Property Developmen
