Description:
As the Senior Finance Manager, you will be instrumental in establishing the initial finance framework, including the development of accounting policies and internal controls. You will partner with New Ventures and JV Heads on budgeting and forecasting matters. In this finance business partner role, you will provide insightful data to facilitate strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Establishing finance foundation, financial operations, internal control, reporting and compliance
- Set up finance policies, processes, and internal controls
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiencies across multiple startups.
- Advise management on the right-sizing of the finance department for sustainable financial operations.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop budgets, forecasts, and cashflow projections aligned with the startup goals and group objectives and to support financial strategy, planning, and analysis
- Providing financial performance and analysis, including performance monitoring and to offer decision-making support from a financial perspective.
- Identify growth opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8-12 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in setting up new finance departments or processes across a wide spectrum of finance ops and/or in a startup environment is an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of relevant financial, tax, internal controls, and financial best practices.
- Strong business acumen and keen analytical skills to understand/interpret financial information and identify key drivers and issues underpinning the numbers.
- You may be required to cover some or all aspects of financial operations and compliance matters at the early stage so the ability to be hands-on is a must.
- Proficiency in data analytics is a plus.
