Responsibilities:
We are looking for a new Senior Finance Officer to join our finance team supporting our Aus/NZ Cancer Care division.
The short and sweet basis of this role is to complete and analyse financial information through collaboration with the finance team to ensure timely, accurate and appropriate information.
This role reports to the Senior Financial Controller – Cancer Services Global
This is a full time permanent position, based in Icon’s global head office in South Brisbane, business precinct
Key Responsibilities of the role, and team, include:
Technical and Operational
- End of month activities as outlined in the finance timetable including but not limited to:
- o Bank recs for multiple bank accounts
- o Revenue recs for multiple sites
- o Preparation of general journals including standing journals
- o Invoicing and oncharges
- o Preparation of profit share for Doctors, processing invoices and creating payment runs
- Debtor management
- Assist with capitalisation of projects
- Support the year end audit process
- Assist with the formulation of accounting/business policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to and applied consistently.
- Recommend improvements of processes with a focus on optimal efficiency and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with all policies in line with legislative, company law and tax requirements
- Safeguard the privacy of key stakeholders and the confidentiality of records
- Comply with all Icon Group policies and procedures
- Ensure an orderly and tidy workspace is maintained
People and Performance
- Be an active and contributing member of your team and your team’s overall performance to ensure the core values are consistently demonstrated
- Participate in on-the-job training and development programs to ensure knowledge and skills are adequate to fulfil operational requirements
