Position overview
The Senior Finance Projects Lead is responsible for overseeing the review and delivery of a range of business planning and finance support initiatives that contribute to the effective implementation of the VBA strategic plan and program outcomes.
Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning & Performance, the role will have a strong focus on leading finance business process improvements, the enhancement of long-range financial modelling including 5 year forecasting and reporting and contributing valuable insights and financial expertise to enhance overall effectiveness.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the accounting principles including understanding of standards as applied in the government sector.
  • Significant experience working in a costing related role for complex organisations.
  • Strong experience in developing ABC costing methodology and in financial modelling and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to propose insights and solutions, to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to support the development and implementation of strategic plans across a range of corporate financial functions that support a future vision.
  • CA or CPA qualified supported by a tertiary qualification in accounting.
