SENIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT – ME&A

We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join the Middle East Finance Operations Team to lead and manage various financial accounting and reporting matters including, but not limited to, monthend processes, internal and external reporting, IFRS compliance etc for the Middle East & Africa region. This role will report to the Regional Financial Controller.
Middle East Finance Operations team is responsible for managing the technical accounting, transactional processing and statutory and tax compliance for all AtkinsRéalis’ companies operating in the Middle East & Africa region, ensuring all internal and external reporting deadlines are met. The team also ensures compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures and maintains and evaluates internal control which govern the core financial processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Finance Operations team in ensuring accurate monthly GL close process, and internal and external reporting, meeting all deadlines;
  • Prepare and post journal entries for various core financial accounting processes;
  • Lead and manage various core financial accounting areas, including balance sheet reconciliations and other analysis for those areas;
  • Ensure the implementation and compliance of Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), IFRSs and use of best accounting practices;
  • Assist with internal audit and assist with external audit and statutory compliance;
  • Support the Financial Controller and Finance Director on ad-hoc initiatives and analysis;
  • Develop strong working relationships with team members and other key stakeholders;
  • Manage financial accounting team ensuring their career development and coaching.
