The Opportunity
This role will support the Accounting and Control Financial Controller in Glanbia Nutritionals Ireland to ensure the integrity of financial processes and financial and management reporting for the GN division with key responsibility for the reporting of period end and year end accounts. This role will report to the Financial Controller. This opportunity will offer scope for a career minded individual to progress and develop their career within the organisation. This is a fixed term contract opportunity until End October 2025.
Accurate, timely preparation and submission of monthly and year-end financial and management accounts and reporting packs to Group and Senior Management.
Provide analysis and supporting information to assist management teams in understanding business performance and decision making.
Review of weekly cash forecasts for the business unit.
Manage the IFRS16 Lease asset module.
Manage the capex process for the teams BU’s.
Review of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Pro-actively identify opportunities to enhance and improve controls, systems and processes in line with evolving business needs.
Responsible for providing information for statutory reporting, external audit and tax compliance.
Preparation of Budget/Forecast files.
Involvement in ad hoc project work.
The Skills you will bring to the team
Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA/ACCA/ACMA)
Qualified accountant with 2-3 years post-qualification experience ideally in a multinational organisation or medium to large practice.
Strong financial reporting (IAS/IFRS) background.
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience of ERP systems, SAP & Data Warehousing platforms (or similar) and report design would be an advantage.
