We’re looking for someone:
- With 3+ years’ experience as a Financial Accountant
- Tertiary Degree in Accounting and CA or CPA qualified
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Engaging, outstanding communication skills, with ability to build rapport with customers to drive outcomes
- Deadline-oriented and strong time management skills
- Ability to work in a hyper growth environment, with strong attention to detail, and problem-solve
- Microsoft Business Central and ActionStep experience an advantage
- Staff management experience an advantage
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Financial Accountant, to work closely with the finance team delivering month end close and financial reporting for the Group. As a Senior Financial Accountant you will be key to ensuring the integrity of the financials and delivering all tax compliance requirements.
Day to day responsibilities include:
Financial Accounting – 85%
- Managing month end close process – processing of accruals (eg. WIP, salaries, leave liabilities, ECL), review and analysis of results, providing commentary on variances to budget.
- Review of balance sheet reconciliations
- Year end – assistance with preparation of general purpose financial statements including calculations for Lease Accounting, Tax Effect Accounting and LSL.
- Liaising with external Auditors and Tax specialists
- Treasury management – monitoring cash flows and liaising with banks.
- Providing guidance to offshore finance transactions team when necessary in respect of reconciliations, general journals, billing and general accounting tasks.
- Responding to financial queries from internal clients eg. HQ, Partners and other business heads
- Practice management and finance systems superuser
- Finance projects eg. implementation of Expense Management System
- Other ad hoc projects in a fast-paced, hyper growth environment
Tax – 15%
- Preparation of monthly BAS and IAS.
- GST compliance.
- Income tax and FBT return preparation.
- Responding to tax queries from internal clients and ATO
