Description:
Senior Financial Accountant (Inventory), Food & Beverage, Cost Accounting, Inventory Management.
Our client is a globally listed-company, delivering food and beverage locations across the world. Following a recent acquisition, the Australian business unit is forecasted to triple in size, accompanied by strong business performance in FY 23.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Finance Director, the Senior Financial Accountant (Inventory) will support Australian finance team BAU, along with the acquisition integration.
Responsibilities:
- Managing inventory cost accounting, conducting account reconciliations, and producing monthly financial reports with a focus on cost analysis.
- Utilizing a comprehensive understanding of supply chain quotations and inventory management to analyze data, rectify discrepancies, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Implementing controls in Food and Beverage outlets to mitigate wastage, pilferage, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Conducting thorough variance analyses for food & beverage operations and liaising with relevant stakeholders to communicate findings.
- Maintaining comprehensive records of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for all products and regularly reviewing standard costs for materials and inputs.
- Providing supervision and support to the finance team and internal management account users across business units.
- Leading and overseeing the outsourced team responsible for trade payables to ensure adherence to quality and timing requirements, thereby ensuring smooth functioning of AP functions.
- Undertaking additional projects and duties as directed by the Financial Controller.
