As Eventbrite focuses on expanding its product and marketing offerings, our Finance team is evolving its capabilities to address the increased complexity of the business while partnering with Executive leadership to guide the business through this critical phase! Our mission is to provide leadership with accurate, insightful, and action-oriented guidance for decision-making.

THE SKILL SET

  • 4+ years of applicable experience in finance, analytics, or data at a fast-growing company or a background in a highly quantitative field
  • Advanced modeling using Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills with an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses
  • Effective, clear, and concise verbal and written communication to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working in a day-to-day setting and presenting findings & recommendations to senior leadership
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to provide accuracy and precision in analysis and reporting
  • Adaptable to changing needs and situations in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, self-directed, and collaborative

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, executive leadership, and specifically the Sales and Customer Success teams to drive actionable insights that help drive business decisions
  • Gather data and develop financial models to tie team initiatives directly to metrics and revenue
  • Support the annual financial planning process as well as revenue/expense forecasts on a monthly basis by providing variance commentary and deep dive insight
  • Partner with Accounting on standard month-end close
  • Actively contribute to process improvements and enhancements
