Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
You will be an integral part of a newly formed unit with Strategic Partnerships responsible for carrying out acquisitions of merchant portfolios. Worldpay has a clear mandate to do deals this year, so this is a unique opportunity for you to be exposed to many transactions at all stages, working closely with our advisors and with the full support of Worldpay’s leadership and investors.
- You will conduct in-depth financial analysis of portfolio acquisition opportunities and own deal modelling (for instance, building out discounted cash flow analysis, stress-testing returns on investments under different scenarios, implementing earn-out structures, etc.)
- You will work closely with our legal and commercial teams as well as with our advisors to negotiate transaction terms with our acquisition targets
- You will maintain a pipeline of interesting acquisition targets and help facilitate dialogue with new opportunities
- You will monitor the financial performance of our acquisitions and provide regular updates to our leadership team
- You will work on an ad-hoc basis with our wider strategic partnerships team to support on new commercial opportunities
You have 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, either in an advisory role (investment banking or Big 4) or an in-house corporate development team with previous transaction experience
- You possess excellent quantitative skills, are very proficient in Excel, and have some familiarity with database analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, or equivalent)
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a reputable university, ideally with a major in a quantitative field
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and you are able to take initiatives to get the work done
- You have excellent communication skills, and are comfortable presenting your work to a senior executive audience
- You have a strong sense of teamwork and a willingness to contribute to the professional growth of your colleague
