Senior Financial Analyst for FP&A - FLSmidth Cement
Are you a versatile financial expert with a passion for financial modeling and ready to support on an exciting M&A journey? Join our FP&A team at FLSmidth Cement, where we are actively seeking a talented Senior Analyst experienced in performance management, financial analytics, and P&L modeling. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to our dynamic Cement Finance team and play a crucial part in our divestment exploration process.
FLSmidth Group is embarking on a journey to explore divestment opportunities for FLSmidth Cement. In addition to supporting the divestment process, this role will be instrumental in shaping our financial performance management strategy, anchored in a product and service-centric business model. FLSmidth Cement is in the forefront of the global green transition in cement production – The clear objective to shape a sustainable future, while at the same time position the company for future growth. This position is based in the city of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Your responsibilities

  • Drive monthly Productline P&L reporting to empower Finance Business Partners in Service and Product units for effective performance management.
  • Enhance long-term financial modeling capabilities on full P&L and balance sheet, presenting the results to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with the Cement Finance Team and participate in the the monthly finance closing process
  • Business controlling and management reporting of Cement support functions
  • Serve as a critical analytical asset to the Head of FP&A and CFO in relation to the upcoming divestment exploration process.

Your qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Possess a minimum of +5 years of relevant experience from similar finance position or financial minded consultancy role.
  • Experience with P&L and balance sheet modeling
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • High Excel proficiency is required; experience with HFM or OneStream consolidation tools is a plus
  • Advantageous to have experience with SG&A analysis and reporting, as well as familiarity with company cost structures.
  • Industry knowledge is an advantage, but not required.
  • Proven ability to derive actionable insights from both structured and unstructured data.
