QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree; professional accounting designation (CPA)
- Prior experience in progressively more challenging positions in finance (5+ years)
- Previous experience in a financial reporting role
- Experience working with SQL databases, Power BI and Power Query Experience is an asset
- Demonstrates a solutions-oriented approach, challenges status quo, and strives to improve processes
- Ability to manage multiple and competing tasks/priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly Client reporting, office reporting, department reporting and management reporting packages as well as address all ad hoc requests in a timely manner
- Assist with the preparation of reports required by management including the Board of Trustees
- Assist with various other reports and summaries as required by management, departments and Clients
- Assist with monthly accounting close process ensuring timeliness, accuracy, completeness
- Review work of Financial Analysts for accuracy and completeness
- Balance Sheet and Income Statement account analysis and reporting
- Assist with preparation of insurance renewal documentations
- Assist with various finance projects
- Undertake business process efficiency reviews, takes ownership of tasks and system automation opportunities
- Ensure compliance with ASPE, the partnership’s accounting policies and provincial law society rules and requirements
- Assist with all internal and external historical reporting including the law firm’s financial statements and notes, other legal entity statements and the firm’s consolidated financial statements, bank reporting and other monthly reports required by management ie BOT reporting and other reports required by management, departments and Clients
- Working as part of a team, provide guidance and leadership to the Reporting and Analysis team
- Liaise with auditors and consultants regarding tax accounting and audit requirements;
