Senior Financial Analyst

This is an exciting role working in the strategic finance team, where you will be developing insightful financial models to
support future strategy, resource, investment and operational decision making.
This may include the costing of business cases, tenders, and proposals, and the development of integrated resource models and investment plans, to ensure the business has visibility of the full financial implications when planning.
As a senior, you will also help maintain best practice by developing robust methodologies, processes and templates to ensure continued integrity and accuracy.

To be considered, you will demonstrate:

• A strong NZ Public Sector/central government background and a strong appreciation of the Machinery of Government.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and lift cycle costing experience, ideally gained in capital intensive organisations.
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think strategically and grasp conceptual thinking.
• Past experience building templates and models for different situations and applying best practice and quality assurance processes.
• Strong levels of Excel and data manipulation, and the ability to work Power Query, Power Pivot and Power BI applications.

To be successful in this role, we also seek strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills, and a proactive and responsive approach. We also require you to have the ability to mentor others and communicate/translate complex financial information to stakeholders.
