Description:
SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST
Lambert Nemec Group, Winnipeg’s leader in Permanent Accounting & Finance Recruitment, has partnered with our client, an international manufacturing company, to recruit a talented & analytical manufacturing Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst will be passionate about analytics and providing value to an exceptional employer. Excellent professional growth in this role to be a key member of the finance team and provide financial direction to the operations team.
REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will hold a recognized Canadian Accounting designation CPA (CA, CGA, CMA) with a minimum 3 years experience in public practice or financial analyst
- Exposure to standard and/or job costing is a benefit.
- An active communication style who wants to interact with operations to impact profitability.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Advanced software skills including MS Excel & large ERP systems.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst will include:
- Prepare and review weekly and monthly financial statements including budget/forecast vs. actual performance
- D evelop & enhance the standard costing system including analysis of material & labor variances, bill of material accuracy, etc
- Perform business case financial modeling, trend, and benchmarking analysis.
- Improve inventory control for Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods.
- Management reporting
- Monthly financial close processes
- Forecasting activities
- Prepare annual budget
- Conduct analysis & review of new product costing and pricing to support business planning.
