Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field of study.
- 2-4 years of professional FP&A experience in a retail, CPG, or similar industry organization.
- Demonstrated experience managing financial models.
- Advanced Excel skills required; proficient with Microsoft Office product suite
- Advanced analytical skills coupled with an ability to interpret data, communicate findings, and propose recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to balance competing priorities and secure resolution through interdepartmental collaboration.
- Strong business acumen; retail store experience a plus.
- Ability to perform and remain organized in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Aptitude to influence colleagues, peers, and cross-functional teams throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF ROLE:
The Senior Financial Analyst supports the Merchandising and Planning organization and the broader FP&A/ finance team. The role is responsible for providing merch planning with financial guidance, reporting, and analytics to drive strong P&L and cashflow performance.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Update and distribute period end results, forecasts, annual plan and GL summary detail, along with financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
- Assist with preparation of various monthly and quarterly deck presentations.
- Support merch planning partners; identify and communicate variances between merch planning forecast and financial forecast
- Review variances to plan/forecast, provide commentary on significant variance drivers, and recommend options for closing gaps
- Ensure delivery of annual plan and forecast; confirm markdowns are funded within planned/forecasted margin
- Serve as a Reporting & Analytics expert for the business including finance SME on Essbase
- Automate manual tasks, reporting, collaboration techniques to increase productivity and accuracy.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and special projects as needed
