    The expected starting pay range for this position is $ 100,000 - $120,000 annually . Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities:

OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST ROLE

You will play a key role in key financial processes, including month end close activities, forecast planning, accurate reporting and allocation of capitalized labor costs, and financial decision support for assigned domains within the technology project portfolio and technology operations budget. You will partner with project management, engineering, and product teams, applying business and analytical skills to support sound financial decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support month-end close process, financial forecasting, and budgeting for the Technology Department which supports all major WSI brands and functions (E-Commerce, Supply Chain & Logistics, Stores, Backend Technology, Corporate Office) through variance analysis, preparation of month-end accruals, and partnerships with key stakeholders. Note : This role will have a heavy focus on the Supply Chain & Logistics domains so relevant financial experience managing capital projects and operating budgets for order management, merchandising, inventory management, manufacturing and/or logistics functions is strongly preferred.
  • Analyze current and past project spending patterns and identify potential savings or cost overruns. Examine these trends considering adherence to scope and schedule and identify early signals of financial risk.
  • Evaluate contract renewals and identify cost savings opportunities. Maintain accurate records of agreements to ensure timely renewals and accurate monthly/quarterly/annual forecasts.
  • Support financial planning and forecasts for a large contract labor force. Assist with onboarding new contractors into the resource management solution (SAP Fieldglass) and assigning appropriate tasks to ensure accurate time reporting for capital projects.
  • Research and provide guidance to project teams as to which costs should be capitalized vs expensed per FASB and available internal policy.
  • Based on historical data and relevant inputs, compile non-payroll component of operating budget for assigned domain(s). Support portfolio planning process through thorough review of required inputs, including ROI calculations and project cost estimates.
  • Upload financial forecasts and budget into scenario planning tool (Essbase)
  • Adopt a posture of continuous improvement, looking for opportunities to automate manual tasks and enhance available reports by leveraging available tools/systems.
