Senior FP&A Analyst – 12 month contract

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

As Kneat continues to expand, we are looking for an enthusiastic Senior FP&A Analyst to join our Finance Department for a 12 month contract.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to our Chief Financial Officer, the Senior FP&A Analyst will have full responsibility for the FP&A function, and all related activities of a publicly listed, rapidly growing software company with expanding international operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual interested in working in a fast-moving environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fully qualified with a professional accounting qualification e.g. Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) certification
  • 10+ years of PQE, preferably including 5+ years financial planning and analysis experience.
  • High level of proficiency with excel is essential. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications; Power BI experience is an advantage.
  • High level of attention to detail; ensuring both numerical and written accuracy.
  • Positive self-motivated individual with excellent communication and teamworking skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with non-excel budget/ planning systems is an advantage.
  • Public company experience is an advantage.Experience with NetSuite (& NetSuite Planning & Budgeting - NSPB) or Hyperion is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the direction and operation of the FP&A functions
  • Preparation (/creation) of annual budget, and quarterly forecasts with the input of department managers for presentation to senior management and the Board.
  • Regular interaction and communication with commercial, professional services and business teams to ensure accuracy of financial plans, in particular, work closely with sales management, and professional services to keep revenue forecasts up to date and track progress against monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Review of monthly actuals v budget in support of the monthly reporting process and quarterly public reporting.
  • Reporting to external finance providers in accordance with rigid deadlines
  • Support CFO in due diligence exercises and similar projects
  • Co-ordinate preparation of management monthly financial report including KPI’s and metrics
  • Review of monthly actuals v budget with department managers.
  • Through both financial analysis and working with business teams, identify areas for cost savings.
  • Support management in the development of KPI’s and metrics.
  • Update planning tools (NSPB) to support developing forecasts and targets for metrics.
  • Maintain process documentation for NetSuite Planning & Budgeting.
  • Maintain “cheat sheets” and briefing information of key historical and forecast information for CFO and CEO for analyst and IR meetings.
  • Understand analyst estimates and how they compare to Kneat’s forecast
  • Benchmark Kneat’s SaaS metrics against similar companies
  • Ensure all appropriate budgetary controls are in place and continue to operate effectively.
  • Continue to develop and refine existing forecasting systems and processes.
  • Periodically review alternative budgeting systems and evaluate vs the systems used by Kneat.
  • Lead and support improvement initiatives across the finance department and the business.
  • Co-ordinate with the CFO and the executive team on long-term financial planning.Other duties, as may be assigned from time to time.
