WHAT WE LOOK FOR

We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated, analytical, logical thinkers and have a very strong attention to detail and the ability to meet multiple and/or unexpected deadlines in a demanding environment.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create technical designs and perform peer code reviews.
• Create technical design documents (SDD)
• Developing User Interfaces: Design and implement user-friendly web pages using React.js, considering aspects like responsiveness and accessibility.
• API Development: Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Django that the front-end can consume.
• Integrating APIs: Connect the front-end UI with back-end services via RESTful APIs to fetch, display, and manipulate data.
• Database Management: Design, implement, and manage databases (relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL) including modeling, migrations, queries, and optimizations.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize the web application for speed and efficiency. This includes lazy loading, code splitting, and optimizing assets.
• Authentication and Authorization: Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms to protect the application and user data, using Django’s built-in authentication system.
• Server-Side Logic: Write clean, modular, and reusable code that defines the business logic of the application.
• Version Control: Manage code versions and collaborate with other developers using Git.
• Testing: Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and reduce bugs. Implement testing frameworks and practice Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Containerization: Use Docker or similar containerization technologies to package and deploy applications consistently across different environments.
• Deployment: Deploy applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or on-premise servers, configure web servers (Nginx, Apache), and manage domains and SSL certificates.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment processes.

TO QUALIFY FOR THE ROLE YOU MUST HAVE

• Django: In-depth knowledge of Django, including models, views, templates, forms, and the ORM for database interactions.
• Python: Strong programming skills in Python, understanding of Pythonic principles, and experience with Python’s standard library.
• RESTful API Development: Experience in developing RESTful services with Django Rest Framework for the backend to communicate with the frontend.
• Authentication and Authorization: Knowledge of implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms, such as JWT (JSON Web Tokens) or OAuth.
• Database Design: Understanding of relational database design and experience with databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• ORM (Object-Relational Mapping): Proficiency in using Django’s ORM to interact with the database layer seamlessly.
• Data Modeling: Ability to design and implement efficient data models to represent and store application data.
• React.js: Proficiency in React.js for building dynamic and responsive user interfaces, including understanding of JSX, components, state management, hooks, and the React lifecycle.
• JavaScript: Deep understanding of JavaScript (ES6 and beyond), including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, and prototypes.
• HTML5 & CSS3: Strong foundation in HTML5 and CSS3, including familiarity with responsive design and accessibility standards.
• Front-end Build Tools: Familiarity with front-end build tools like npm, or yarn.
• Version Control: Proficiency in version control using Git, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
• Cloud based solutions on Microsoft Azure platform (Azure AD / Graph APIs)
• Proficiency in High Level Design, Detail Design Sequence Diagrams and Technical Documentation.
• Containerization: Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker for creating consistent development environments.
• Web Servers: Experience with web servers like Nginx or Apache for deploying web applications.
• Cloud Services: Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for hosting applications and databases.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Unit Testing and TDD: Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jest for React, PyTest for Django) and familiarity with Test-Driven Development practices.
• Integration Testing: Knowledge of integration testing to ensure different parts of the application work together as expected.
