Jugo is seeking a passionate and innovative Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our tribe. This is a rare opportunity to work, develop and lead on a greenfield product leveraging the latest technology.
We are looking for an engineer who loves to explore and innovate with the aim of creating a truly first-class enterprise virtual platform and product. If you have any virtual world, gaming experience or simply a passion for gaming then this is the place for you!
You will help to develop and maintain the next generation of virtual and immersive web experiences which will be a key component of our SaaS product offering. You will create immersive user experiences, integrate with real-time data feeds and leverage content management and configuration tools to provide the business with the tools they need to effectively manage multiple experiences.
You will be a key member of the tribe, working in a creative environment building brilliant software with best-in-class technologies.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

• Excellent knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, including React/React Native
• Excellent knowledge of Typescript
• Experience working with AWS or other cloud providers.
• Experience designing/developing APIs (e.g. gRPC or REST)
• Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Pulumi, Terraform, AWS CDK)
• Experience of working with containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker, AWS Fargate)
• Experience setting up/working with CI/CD tooling (e.g. GitHub Actions, CircleCI or Jenkins)
• Experience working with various Relational and Non-Relational Database technologies (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB/MongoDB, Redis)
• Experience working across multiple aspects of the stack (Front-End through to Infrastructure)
• Excellent knowledge of browser support and cross-browser testing/features
• Excellent communication skills

• Turn concepts and requirements into web applications and systems using languages and technologies such as TypeScript, React/React Native, Go, NodeJS, Docker, AWS, Kafka, Pulumi and GitHub Actions.
• As one of our highly skilled engineers, you will help define and analyse business requirements and implement solutions to business needs, ensuring their completion by putting together a robust end to end process.
• Actively support the development and enhancement of our continuous integration and deployment/release pipelines
• Collaborate with other engineers and architects to develop highly scalable and secure systems.
• Ensure security, quality, and reliability of delivered solutions through effective testing, monitoring, and observability techniques.
• Write quality testable and readable code and ensure quality through code reviews.
• Document system behaviour and ensure knowledge is shared amongst your fellow colleagues.
• Balance the commercial needs of the business against technical design, proposing sound phased or tactical implementations where appropriate.
• Collaborate with others on the team and suggest how we can work together better.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to find optimal solutions and break large projects into manageable releasable parts.
• Continuously improve our code and product quality.
• Have curiosity and motivation to learn, with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
