About you
You want to use your skills to address climate change. You’d be excited to work in a dynamic, friendly, fast-growing startup. You’re an experienced frontend application builder, comfortable taking a project from 0 to 1. You feel excited about the responsibility of shaping the direction of a pre-seed startup product. Sounds like you? Read on…
About us
Optiml is fast-growing startup with a mission to decarbonise real estate as “the trusted software provider for sustainable and profitable real estate portfolios”. We spun out of ETH Zurich in fall 2022 and raised our $1.6m pre-seed from top-notch US & EU funds: Innovation Endeavors (San Francisco – fund of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt) and Planet A (Berlin). In short: although we’re only 1.5 years old, we’re getting a lot of interest, and we’re at the stage where we need more entrepreneurial and talented engineers to join our team.

Who we are looking for

  • Highly Self-Motivated: You are able to quickly and efficiently execute tasks, demonstrating strong initiative and self-drive.
  • You Get Things Done: You prioritize speed and flexibility, adept at making swift compromises to maintain momentum.
  • Keen Eye for Product Design: Your meticulous attention to detail ensures excellence in product aesthetics and functionality.
  • Analytical and Self-Reflective: You analyze your performance and continuously seek ways to improve.
  • Compassionate and Humorous: You bring kindness and humor to the team, enhancing both morale and collaboration.

  • Swiss or EU citizenship (unfortunately due to size, we can’t support non-EU).

Nice to have

  • Experience with GCP products (Firebase, BigQuery, Buckets).
  • Broad financial/real estate knowledge.

Benefits

  • Direct impact on the product and go-to-market direction of Optiml from the earliest days
  • Unique opportunity to learn: try, fail, iterate, and build new skills every day - in a culture that values growth & development individually and as a team
  • Learning and development budget of CHF 1k (conferences, certificates, etc.).
  • Shit happens: 100% accident non-occupational accident insurance (UVG) covered.
  • 25 days paid vacation, flexible parental leave.
  • Note: We work primarily from our Zürich office, but offer the possibility of some remote work and flexible hours.
