Senior Functional Analyst

DESCRIPTION:

USG Professionals is looking for a Senior Functional Analyst with outsanding expertise in SQL for our client in the region of Brussels.
Do you have strong analytical & problem/solving skills? Are you familiar with SQL? Attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of data independently?
About our project
Our client’s project has more than 35 teams which focus on building a completely new data warehouse for regulatory reporting of the whole Group and its entities in 6 EU countries. Technologically speaking, the project solution is based on multi-tenant warehouse development. On each entity level, there is a separate instance with the same data model (“single version of truth”). Above all entities, the Group Tenant Warehouse consolidates data from all source systems of our client’s banks and insurances.

Your role in our team

• Analysis and challenge of business requirements
• Translating the business requirements into a detailed functional design. The design should meet the business needs and comply with the existing architecture and standards.
• Implementation of business requirements
• Testing/validating of the implementations
• Working on documentation and hand-over of the delivered solution
• Delivering reports using standardised measurement and reporting tools

Profile

What do we expect from you:

• You have minimum 5 years of working experience as a (functional) analyst.
• You have to analyse complex business processes and software systems, identify problems, and propose solutions. This requires an ability to break down complex problems into smaller components, to identify patterns and trends, and to use data to support your conclusions.
• You have strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to think creatively and to come up with innovative solutions and to identify potential risks and trade-offs.
• You are meticulous in your work and you have a process for reviewing and checking your work to ensure accuracy.
• You have SQL knowledge with ability to navigate in an extended and complex data model
• You have great communication skills and you are a real team player
• You are fluent in English, both written and spoken
• As a plus, you are familiar with concepts such as FINREP, COREP, BASEL,…
